As a child on a Cabo Verdian kindergarten my interest for different cultures has been created, I guess. I liked the fact people there were happy, despite the lack of many many things. The experience was like a real developing country. I used to speak Portugese fluently, though back in the Netherlands I soon became a brave normal Dutch girl again ;).. The rest of my childhood and maturity I spent thinking wanting to do something cultural, wanting to help others and so contribute something for a better world! During my graduation I became involved in the world of NGO's as I started writing a thesis for a microfinance company in Utrecht. I left the company leaving a solid communication strategy and that's when I knew a I had found a new love: using your knowledge for people and planet. I rather like the idea of bringing knowledge to developing countries instead of money. People should be able to build up their own lives. Finally I hope to achieve the same using my communication skills at Pifworld by using social media effectively!! Play it Forward!
