Description
Construct and build a new school water configuration, with its own drilled well and water storage tank with solar pump system and pipe discharge system on a 6 meter steel elevated tower for the 2,000 children of Gunjur Upper Basic school. In the present situation there is lack of clean drinking water.

2,000 children of the Gunjur Upper Basic school have no access to fresh water. The available water comes from an almost dry well and has been laying still for a long time. This water is unfit for usage, and is a risk to the children's health.
Goal
To supply the children of the Gunjur Upper Basic school acces to clean and fresh water.
Main activities
1) Dig a borehole (50 m deep); 2) Set up a steel construction approximately 5 meters high with a platform to hold the water container; 3) Place a 2,000 liter container on the platform; 4) Place a pump-system which runs on solar panels and connect all the pipelines.
External risks
There are no risks to this project, the construction will be built by a certified company. The only problem could be that too many village people take water out of the system, which could lead to shortage of water.

Decrease of 20% sickness of the schoolkids on The Gunjur Upper Basic school through the access of fresh clean water. More then 30% more attendance of girls on school in time of their period, because of more water and sanitation faciltity's! Thank you donors of this project!

Today the 3.500 euro from the Lions serviceclub Vianen is donated to the account of the project Water for Schoolkids from the Happy Gunjur Foundation. So who will help us to make the last step to the finish, 2.225 euro is left to realise the project!

A lot of children from basic school De Brug (education for special kids) have done very special jobs to raise money for Happy Gunjur foundation. Car washing, gardening, clean containers, dishwashing, streetcleaning, babysit, etc etc. For every job they asked some small money and look at the results: a WONDERFUL contribution for Happy Gunjur.

Yesterday the 18 members of the CFC have been on a bike tour in Amsterdam,after the trip they donated 70 euro to our project. Every 6 weeks the group make a bike tour and next to that they also look for some cultural things like a museum or company visit. The next 3 trips they will also make donations to our project in Gunjur Gambia. Thank you guy's
