Decrease of 20% sickness of the schoolkids on The Gunjur Upper Basic school
through the access of fresh clean water.
More then 30% more attendance of girls on school in time of their period, because of more water and sanitation faciltity's!

Today the 3.500 euro from the Lions serviceclub Vianen is donated
to the account of the project Water for Schoolkids from the Happy Gunjur Foundation.
So who will help us to make the last step to the finish,
2.225 euro is left to realise the project!

600 euro from the JOBCARD project, basic school De Brug Vianen
A lot of children from basic school De Brug (education for special kids) have done very special jobs to raise money for Happy Gunjur foundation.
Car washing, gardening, clean containers, dishwashing,
streetcleaning, babysit, etc etc.
For every job they asked some small money and look at the results:
a WONDERFUL contribution for Happy Gunjur.

CFC (culturele Fiets Club) Vianen
Yesterday the 18 members of the CFC have been on a bike tour in Amsterdam,after the trip they donated 70 euro to our project.
Every 6 weeks the group make a bike tour and next to that they also look for some cultural things like a museum or company visit.
The next 3 trips they will also make donations to our project in Gunjur Gambia.

Next to our project on Pifworld Happy Gunjur Foundation (Stichting Happy Gunjur) started to build a brand new school for 150 children from the `Gunjur Community Pre school. 6 classrooms, toiletbuildig, in and exerior materials, fence and a complete self supporting Watersystem.
A project with support of NCDO and the Minister of Development Cooperation Netherlands.

Visit Gunjur Upper Basic school 11 feb 2009
Together with our Gambian representative Mr Happy (Abdoulie Camara) we did a short visit to this school. The present situation for wateraccess is very poor. The well is almost dry and it does cost a lot of energie to pump that small water.
