Restoration Health Houses Pakistan completed!
Beginning of May we updated you about the restoration of the 30 health houses in Pakistan that were affected by last year’s floods. In March 2011 we reached our budget breakdown and since then two local contractors have been working hard on the restoration of the Health Houses. The main goal was to have the Health Houses completely restored and refurbished so that the Lady Health Workers could start giving primary health care services to the community again. We are very happy to inform you that recently the renovation of all the 30 Health Houses was completed! A big thanks to everyone that donated to this project!

Local contractors for restoration health houses hired!
End of March we were pleased to inform you that we reached our budget breakdown for the restoration of 30 health houses in Pakistan. Since that a HealthNet TPO representative has identified local contractors to undertake the restoration. One contractor will undertake the restoration of 15 health houses in Tehsil Sujuwal and Tehsil Bello and the other contractor will restore 15 health houses in Tehsil Jatta (these are all sub districts of the Thatta district). HealthNet TPO will monitor the contractors in collaboration with their local (NGO)partner and the District Health Department. To be continued!

Motivation
For Pakistan, restore 30 health houses in two districts that are affected by the floods in Pakistan. So we make it possible to provide health services to the residents returning to their villages when the flood water recedes. Many people are suffering from health problems like diarrhea, cholera and skin infections. By making the health houses operational again we will prevent people are dying due to preventable diseases.Read more
