Goal! Help children in South Africa score...
As you all know, last Monday the Dutch team beat Slovakia and reached the quarter finals! Tonight millions of Dutch people will get together in orange outfits to watch the match against Brazil. In Africa, probably the same will happen on Saturday, when the whole of Africa unites to support Ghana, the only African team left in the tournament. Football is a great way to reach and unite people, which is exactly what the WorldCoaches project does. So many children around the world dream of becoming a football star, but don’t have the means to get proper training and guidance. A WorldCoach, however, can make sure the youth are able to develop themselves, in the field as well as outside the field. Help us support the WorldCoaches and improve the lives and futures of young people!

Welcome to the WorldCoaches project on Pifworld!
As the football World Cup in South Africa will kick off today, we want to introduce you to the WorldCoaches project of SOS Kinderdorpen and KNVB. Football is a game that unites and connects people worldwide, young and old, men and women, poor and rich. We therefore believe it can contribute to a better world. However, many kids and young people in South Africa and in many developing countries do not get the chance to get good football training and develop their talent. The WorldCoaches project therefore aims to train people in developing countries to become a WorldCoach; an expert football coach and a life skills teacher outside the field, a role model for kids and young people. By stimulating youth in their talents and passion they are able to develop themselves, contribute to their families and communities and it supports them to develop self-confidence to make their own choices for their future.
Every young football player deserves a good coach. A WorldCoach. Through this project, one WorldCoach can be supported for 4 years. Support us in this and help improve the wellbeing of the youth! This way, we can support a lot of WorldCoaches in the future!
